My Grandmother Pauline Wehage had a special devocation to the Virgin Mary. She passed this devotion onto her daughter, my Aunts Dorothy and Helen. This setting of the Ave Maria isdedicated to their memories. The simple, uncomplicated diatonic harmony is something that they perhaps would have understood and appreciated. This setting may be used for Worship or for concert use.
